Loggio

It is situated in the centre of the valley. Two streets run horizontally through this hamlet serving the different areas. To the west they meet the road from Puria and to the east the one from Cressogno . What particularly distinguishes Loggio is that the Holy Shroud is depicted on the facade of some of its houses: this testifies the emigration to Turin of a certain number of local artists who found work  on the building sites of palaces commissioned by the Savoys, the regnant house in that area. The custom was widespread in Turin following the public showing of the Holy Shroud in 1650. The Mossini house has, besides the Holy Shroud, an image of our Lady of the Seven Sorrows, surrounded  by a few faithful and, in the lower part, two devotees of the Mossini family. A number of remarkable houses inside the village testify a certain living standard of its inhabitants.
